ODISHA · CYCLONE EXPOSURE

When cyclones are a concern, the structure matters.

Odisha’s cyclone exposure makes the connection between your solar panels and your roof especially important. We assess the roof and supporting building as part of the mounting design.

ArmorMount structural design is analysed in STAAD for 180 km/h wind conditions. ArmorMount combines ZAM-coated steel, bolted connections and bracing. Chemical anchoring secures suitable concrete-roof installations, while the mounting design accounts for your building’s height, layout and exposure.

The 180 km/h figure applies to the analysed structural configuration. Local exposure and the building beneath it remain part of the installation design.

MORE THAN A METAL FRAME

Panels generate power.
The mounting system supports them.

ArmorMount brings the steel members, bolted connections, bracing and roof fixings together as one mounting system. The design connects your solar panels to the building that supports them.

01

The material

ArmorMount uses ZAM-coated steel for its structural members. The member sizes and layout are selected around the mounting design for your roof.

02

The connections

Bolted connections and bracing hold the structural members together. Their arrangement is designed to transfer loads through the frame to the roof fixings.

03

The roof interface

For suitable concrete roofs, chemical anchoring bonds the mounting fixings into the supporting concrete. Sheet roofs use fixings matched to the roof and supporting members, with attention to waterproofing.

DESIGNED FOR YOUR PROPERTY

How we plan the mounting system for your roof.

Roof and layout

We assess available space, shading and roof condition, including the building members that will support the array.

180 km/h wind design analysis

ArmorMount structural design is analysed in STAAD for 180 km/h wind conditions. The applicable assembly, roof connection, height and site conditions determine the design configuration for the project.

Fixings and penetrations

Fixings, bracing and roof-penetration details are selected together for the mounting system.

Installation and support

Your project includes a clear equipment list, installation plan and written warranty and maintenance terms.

From the roof survey to the fixing design, ArmorMount is matched to your building. You receive the installation details and warranty terms with your project proposal.

A PRACTICAL COMPARISON

ArmorMount, explained.

How is ArmorMount matched to my roof?

We assess the roof type, available layout, supporting building and wind exposure, then select the mounting configuration and fixings for that property. Your project proposal shows the selected structure.

What does the 180 km/h STAAD analysis mean?

STAAD models the forces on the structure under the stated wind conditions. The 180 km/h figure relates to the analysed configuration, including its members and connections; the roof and fixing design are assessed for each installation.

What warranty applies?

Your written project proposal sets out the warranty cover for the structure and workmanship, alongside the separate equipment warranties, periods and exclusions.
