Residential rooftop solar in West Bengal

Solarixity helps households in Purulia and other West Bengal locations choose rooftop solar around their electricity use, roof space and subsidy eligibility. Share your city and electricity bill to get started.

Central subsidy and State Financial Assistance (SFA)

Eligible households can receive central assistance of ₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW and up to ₹78,000 for 3 kW or more. Eligible SC/ST domestic consumers can also receive West Bengal assistance of ₹5,000, ₹10,000 and ₹15,000 respectively, taking total support at 3 kW to ₹93,000. Other eligible domestic consumers receive the central assistance. The state benefit follows the process in West Bengal’s order dated 3 September 2026, with WBSEDCL as the nodal agency, including for CESC and IPCL areas.

A 3 kW budget, in numbers

For a ₹2,00,000 example installed system, ₹78,000 central + ₹15,000 state assistance for eligible SC/ST households gives an effective cost of ₹1,07,000 after approval and subsidy credit, before financing costs. Other eligible West Bengal households can receive ₹78,000 central assistance, making the same example ₹1,22,000 after subsidy.

Start with the electricity supplier

Your connection may be with WBSEDCL, CESC, DPL, DVC or another supplier. Solarixity uses the details on your electricity bill to identify the residential solar application and metering route.

Solar designed for local conditions

In Purulia and surrounding areas, the roof survey covers wind exposure, installation access and space for cleaning. Your layout, mounting system and metering plan are developed around those local conditions.

Your rooftop proposal, explained

  • Plant capacity and generation assumptions based on your bill and roof survey.
  • A clear installed price, the subsidy you qualify for, and your down payment and EMI options.
  • Module and inverter specifications, DCR compliance for subsidy, structure design, earthing and electrical protection.
  • Net-metering responsibilities, inspection steps, warranties, monitoring and maintenance scope.
